The story
At Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires, the centuries-old tradition of Argentine asado becomes a live performance. Guests sit at the counter or chef’s table and watch as each course is prepared on a custom-made grill, right in front of them. The restaurant’s specially designed tasting menus showcase the best Argentine ingredients and local grass-fed beef in new and creative preparations, perfectly paired with wines from Argentina’s oldest wineries.
The experience is intimate and exclusive. The Chef’s Counter is a private dining room with just ten seats, offering a 14-course tasting menu with an elevated wine pairing. For a slightly shorter but equally compelling journey, the Bar Tasting Menu runs nine courses, highlighting new grilling techniques that push the boundaries of the classic asado.
Fogón Asado has been recommended in the Michelin Guide Argentina 2024/25, and was named #1 Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the World 2025, as well as #35 World’s Best Steak Restaurant 2025. The restaurant operates two locations in the Palermo neighborhood—Palermo Viejo and Palermo Soho—each with its own charm and ambiance. Both offer the same focus on high-quality Argentine beef, creative preparations, and a warm, welcoming setting that puts the craft of the grill at center stage.
