The story
Stable, located just outside Antwerpen in Edegem, offers a refined take on modern cuisine. The restaurant earned a Michelin Recommended recognition for 2026, a testament to its precise, ingredient-driven cooking. The menu is a fixed affair: six courses at dinner (€119), with lunch offering four or five courses (€99 or €109). Both fish and meat appear in the evening, while a fully vegetarian menu is available with advance notice.
The kitchen operates Tuesday through Saturday for dinner, and Thursday and Friday for lunch as well. Reservations are made online, and the system updates availability in real time. For parties larger than six, email is preferred. Stable provides private parking for six cars on a first-come, first-served basis. The setting is quiet, surrounded by nature – a collaboration with Kempens Landschap and the municipality of Edegem.
The modern cuisine here is clean and seasonal, with small adjustments possible if requested ahead of time (last-minute changes incur a €10 fee). The restaurant’s limited seating and popular fixed menu mean booking ahead is wise. Dogs are not allowed, and the unique location may pose challenges for wheelchair access. Despite these constraints, Stable delivers a focused, unpretentious meal that justifies its Michelin nod.
