The story
Agnes is not a large restaurant, but an intimate refuge for lovers of gastronomy and wine. Located in a quiet corner of Dilbeek, just outside Brussels, the space breathes warmth and simplicity, with attention to every detail. Chef Thomas Locus and his team welcome guests for a serene, gastronomic experience where each dish is a meeting of craftsmanship and feeling. “The calm and serenity of this location, I want to translate to the plate,” says Locus.
Thomas Locus brings a refined, seasonal kitchen rooted in pure ingredients and subtle nuances. Following the rhythm of nature, he works with daily-fresh, local produce. The menu changes with the seasons, and the wine list is carefully curated to create a dialogue between glass and plate. Agnes’s Modern French approach is evident in dishes like redfish with bomba rice, green asparagus, and watercress, or farm chicken ‘Landes’ with octopus and tikka masala. The marktmenu offers four or five courses (€105 or €130), while a lunch menu is available at €50 per person. À la carte is also offered, except on Friday evenings.
Agnes earned a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026, a nod to the precision and character of Locus’s cooking. The restaurant itself is a peaceful house with a story: every table tells one, every course is an encounter between skill and emotion. Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the experience is one of rhythm, a moment of calm expressed in flavours and textures. Private dining, overnight stays, and gift vouchers are also available, making Agnes a destination for more than just a meal.
