The story
In the heart of Jette, French Kiss is a welcoming restaurant that focuses on what it does best: succulent grilled meats and fresh fish. The kitchen prepares tender beef, lamb, and seafood with a steady hand, always adapting the menu to the seasons. The classic cuisine approach means dishes are straightforward, letting quality ingredients speak for themselves. The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognises this commitment to good quality, good value cooking.
The menu offers a choice of set formulas. A 43€ menu might start with a Thai-style tuna tartare or goat cheese and bacon croquettes, followed by a Thai curry prawn stir-fry or a grilled beef fillet with green peppercorn sauce. For a more elaborate experience, the 55€ menu includes options like a chef’s scampi sauté with tomato, garlic, and mushrooms, vitello tonnato, or grilled swordfish with herbs and Niçoise vegetables. Desserts are drawn from a separate carte. The restaurant also offers daily suggestions that change regularly, keeping the offer fresh.
Eric Guillaume selects the wines, visiting lesser-known growers across France. The wine list covers many French regions as well as international bottles, and bottles are also available for takeaway. The list is built for pairing with the grilled dishes and simple, classic flavours.
French Kiss is a place for relaxed, generous dining. In summer, the sunny terrace is open for outdoor meals. When the weather is too warm, the air-conditioned dining room provides a cool refuge. The service is attentive and professional, whether for a business lunch or a quiet dinner.
