The story
La Table du Tribeca brings together two friends: Chef Pierre Résimont, who holds two Michelin stars, and entrepreneur Laurent Wagner. Together, they reimagined the restaurant Tribeca (which opened in 2015) into a place where the precision of haute cuisine meets the easy warmth of a bistro. Their term for it: bistronomie.
The result is a menu that moves between classic bistro dishes and original creations, always rooted in seasonal produce. The website describes the cooking as “généreuse et authentique” – generous and authentic – a phrase that captures the spirit of the place.
The dining room balances refinement with a relaxed, good-vibe atmosphere. For larger groups, a dedicated banquet room (maximum 22 guests) offers a private setting for weddings, birthdays, or corporate events. Outdoor seating and parking add to the convenience, especially given the restaurant’s location on rue de Bertransart in Gerpinnes, just outside Charleroi.
La Table du Tribeca has earned a place in the Michelin guide, listed as Recommended – a nod to the consistent quality and thoughtful execution that defines the kitchen. This recognition aligns with the team’s stated goal: to celebrate French cuisine that is at once inventive and grounded, without pretension.
The kitchen works with the seasons, letting ingredients lead. The style is French bistronomie – technically skilled yet approachable. Dishes change regularly, but the ethos remains: innovation born from tradition, served in a space where conviviality is non-negotiable.
Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the experience is designed to be memorable without fuss. No culinary journeys, no hidden gems – just honest, beautifully made food in good company.
