The story
On Avenue Gambetta in La Louvière, Céma Passion is the project of chef Cédric Manderlier and his partner Pauline. Open since May 2012, the restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for its precise, evolving take on Modern French cuisine.
The cooking here follows the seasons. Cédric works with produce from both near and far, building plates that are contemporary and in constant motion. A meal might begin with a fresh, beautifully presented veal tartare, brightened by generous, varied vegetable chips. Roasted monkfish in butter arrives with tender octopus, coco beans and confit fennel – a combination that shows the kitchen’s command of texture and flavor. Dessert, like honey-drizzled figs over compote followed by a chocolate parfait, stays in the same register: precise, elegant, and deeply satisfying.
The dining room matches the food – sober, efficient, and notably warm. Service is described as “diantrement souriants” (darn smiling), and the wine list offers a broad selection of French and international bottles.
Céma Passion also hosts private events for 10 to 50 guests, with Wi-Fi and a screen available. It’s a place where the details matter, from the cooking to the welcome – and where a meal feels both refined and genuinely hospitable.
