The story
Mon Repos occupies a villa in Tallinn, and its second floor – the Chef's Floor – is dedicated to refined, intimate dining. Here, Executive Chef Valdislav Djatšuk and his team create moments that are meant to be shared with those closest to you. The philosophy is captured in the chef’s own words: “A little bit of humour, love and salt.”
Guests are invited to indulge in a degustation-style menu, a carefully paced sequence of dishes that draws on seasonal ingredients and modern techniques. The restaurant’s approach has earned it a place among Michelin Recommended restaurants, a recognition that speaks to the quality and consistency of the experience.
The current tasting menu, priced at €75, begins with an amuse-bouche and progresses through seven courses. Examples include tuna tartare with pear and tarragon mayo, lobster ravioli with green apple and bisque, a black truffle cream soup with puffed buckwheat and a 64° egg, Järveotsa quail with potato-celeriac gratin and Calvados sauce, and a dessert of pineapple, almond cake, and strawberry sorbet. The menu changes to reflect ingredient availability, so each visit may offer something different.
The Chef's Floor can host private events for groups of 10 to 40, with a dedicated private room for 6 to 8 guests. For a truly secluded evening, a tower room in the villa offers dining for two. The restaurant’s modern cuisine, presented in these intimate settings, makes Mon Repos a destination for those seeking a memorable, unhurried meal in Tallinn.
