The story
On Terase Street, in the vibrant heart of Tallinn's Kadriorg district, RADIO brings an open-kitchen energy to international dining. The scene is set from the moment you walk in: chefs work in full view, and the room hums with the easy chatter of neighbours and visitors alike. It is, by their own description, a gathering place for a good dinner, a glass of wine, or simply a fine coffee.
RADIO’s menu is built for sharing. Portions fall between a classic starter and a main course, encouraging a table of tastes. The cooking is International in spirit, drawing from Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Baltic influences without ever straying into fussiness. Look for padrón peppers with sea salt, lemon, and honey; hummus with Middle-East spices and pita; or beef tartare brightened by pineapple salsa and chipotle. The kitchen also turns out a crispy cauliflower with chimichurri and parmesan, and a venison with vegetable gratin and red wine sauce that speaks to the Baltic winter. Sweet endings include a warm toffee cake with salted caramel and vanilla ice-cream, and a Basque cheesecake.
The wine list is marked as interesting for good reason. It complements the globally minded menu with well-chosen bottles, from crisp whites to fuller reds, making it easy to match each sharing plate. The space is air-conditioned, comfortable year-round.
RADIO earned a Michelin recommendation in 2026, a recognition that fits the restaurant’s straightforward confidence. There are no pretensions here—just quality ingredients, honest technique, and an atmosphere that feels both special and everyday. Whether you come for a full dinner or a single plate at the bar, this is Kadriorg at its most welcoming.
