The story
Just twenty minutes from Toulouse, in the village of Cugnaux, Ciel à Table occupies a carefully renovated old village house built of pink brick. The restaurant is the result of a meeting between Sylvie, a passionate host, and Adrien, a young chef described as instinctive and precise. Together, they have created a place where the authenticity of the old walls meets the modernity of an open kitchen and a dining room bathed in natural light.
A large glass roof opens in fine weather, and the surrounding trees frame the terrace. The name is literal: the sky truly comes to the table, making the space feel like a luminous, calming parenthesis.
Chef Adrien’s cooking is marked by freedom and rigour. Instinctive yet technically precise, it plays with balance, texture, and accuracy. Every dish reflects a season, a meeting, or an impulse. The ingredients are 100% French, chosen for their quality and the philosophy of their producers.
The chef draws inspiration from his travels, from markets, from world food shops, and from the endless resource of social media. This curiosity drives his creativity. In the plate, the result is a cuisine that is both anchored and open — surprising without imposing, intriguing without shocking. Each bite aims to leave a memory, linking taste, light, and the shared moment.
The menu changes regularly. Dishes have included an œuf parfait with squash velouté and pressed sandwich of dried duck magret, line-caught merlu with Vendée mogette beans in a green curry coconut cream, and a pigeon cooked on the bone with a celery-boule variation and crispy leg nem. Desserts range from a smoked “forêt noire” with griotte sorbet to a Valrhona three-chocolate entremet with hazelnut and grand cru ice cream.
In the dining room, Sylvie welcomes, advises, and tells the story behind each dish and wine. The service is elegant and simple, far from stiff codes. The wine list is rooted in the South-West but opens up to all French regions, with a good selection by the glass. Every bottle is chosen for its story and character.
Ciel à Table has earned a Michelin recommendation, a recognition that aligns with the restaurant’s quiet ambition: to offer a sincere, contemporary experience from the open kitchen to the sunlit terrace. It is a place of life and momentum, where every meal is meant to be luminous and memorable.
