The story
Perched on the chemin de la Falaise in Neuville-lès-Dieppe, Les Voiles d'Or is a Michelin-starred restaurant that celebrates the catch of the day from the Normandy and Brittany coasts. The kitchen, led by chef Tristan, works with the freshest seafood—barbue, lotte, homard bleu—and lets the market dictate the menu.
The dining room is designed for comfort, with outdoor seating for fine weather, a nearby parking lot, and full wheelchair access. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place where the sea breeze meets refined technique.
At the heart of the experience is the ingredient. The “Menu Voiles d'Or Dégustation Improvisé” (74€) is improvised based on the morning’s catch: three seafood services, a cheese board, dessert, and mignardises. For a lighter lunch, “La Petite Folie du Midi” (45€) offers an entrée, a fish course, dessert, and petits fours. The “Menu des Saveurs Printemps-Été” (115€) is a more elaborate affair, featuring blue lobster rosette with melon and passion fruit, seasonal fish “selon le marché de Tristan,” and honey-glazed boneless squab with cider vinegar from a Normandy farm.
À la carte, dishes like carpaccio and tartare of meagre with passion fruit and purple sweet potato, or roasted suprême of brill with mashed potatoes from the Baie de Somme, showcase both precision and respect for the product. The monkfish medallion with parsnip mousseline and fricassée of small onions with apricot is another standout.
Desserts are equally refined. The pear confit with cinnamon, glazed and filled with caramel, served with Réunion vanilla sabayon, or the strawberry crunch with chocolate-cassis mousse and blueberry coulis, are worthy conclusions.
Les Voiles d'Or is recognized with a Michelin star for its high-quality cooking—a recognition that fits naturally with the kitchen’s commitment to sourcing the best from the sea and the farm. The restaurant is a destination for modern cuisine and seafood lovers, right on the Norman coast.
