The story
Set within a 40-acre park of centuries-old trees, this historic house—a Relais & Châteaux property—offers a dining experience rooted in the region. The restaurant, Le Saint-Martin, has held a Michelin star for 40 years, a testament to its consistent quality and Chef Dudognon's vision.
The chef and his team select the best local products to create a classic French cuisine with strong character and a sprinkle of inventiveness. The menu is a celebration of the Limousin, showcasing regional meats and vegetables from the property’s own garden. Guests can dine in elegantly appointed lounges or on the terrace overlooking the park, making it suitable for romantic suppers, family celebrations, and garden parties.
Beyond the main restaurant, the estate offers Le Jardin Extraordinaire, an open-air dining experience open from June to September. Set within a remarkable Eiffel structure, this seasonal venue serves a local but surprising interpretation of classic French cuisine, with vegetables from the garden and regional cuts of meat.
For a more intimate picnic in the park, the Ruches à Manger offer a unique, cocoon-like setting. Chef Dudognon’s passion for the region extends beyond the plate, with experiences like cooking classes, electric bike rides through the countryside, and vintage car rentals available to guests. La Chapelle Saint-Martin is a place where the elegance of a historic home meets the grounded, generous cooking of a chef deeply connected to his land.
