The story
Just steps from Nancy’s Place Stanislas, La Maison dans le Parc occupies a bourgeois townhouse overlooking a private park of centenary trees. The terrace, shaded and calm, is the heart of the experience when weather permits. Inside, a corridor of stone and muted, sober colours sets a quietly elegant tone — an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and settle in.
Roxane and Charles Coulombeau welcome guests into this contemporary-chic dining room. Charles, the chef, draws on a deep relationship with local producers, letting the ingredients of the Lorraine terroir guide his cooking. His style is technical and creative, with subtle nods to Japan — a play of textures, precise sauces, and an emphasis on fish, seafood, vegetables, and meat that shift with the seasons. Desserts, often touched with umami, carry the same sense of discovery through to the final bite.
La Maison dans le Parc holds one Michelin star, and in 2022 the guide awarded it the Prix de l’accueil et du service — a rare honour that speaks to the warmth and discretion of the front-of-house team. The wine list, featuring bottles from Alsace, natural wines, and international selections, is built to match the kitchen’s ambition.
Menus are offered at lunch and dinner, including a suggestion du déjeuner, a menu du moment, and a six-service dégustation that follows the chef’s inspiration. Whether you come for a quiet meal on the terrace or a full evening inside, the cooking is generous, fine, and surprising — rooted in product, lifted by technique, and served without fuss.
