The story
In the heart of Nantes, just steps from the Cathedral and the historic Place Saint-Pierre, Lamaccotte brings a fresh perspective to modern cuisine. Chef Maxime Fillaut and his team craft a menu built on refined, seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers. The result is cooking that respects tradition while embracing creativity—a balance that earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026.
The name "Lamaccotte" is a personal one. It’s the nickname chef Fillaut carried from his early years in the kitchen, given to him by mentor Jean-Yves Guého. For him, it represents the drive to cultivate tradition without ceasing to innovate, and to cook with respect for the seasons, the products, and the people behind them. It also reflects the pleasure of warm, discreet service that never loses its conviviality.
The dining room, designed with architects Les Rapporteuses, is modern, bright, and welcoming. Custom furniture, terrazzo walls, pastel colours, and rounded shapes create a cosy atmosphere. The decor is intentionally sober and warm, letting the food take centre stage. Lamaccotte also offers outdoor seating and can host private parties, making it a versatile spot for different occasions.
The carte changes with the seasons, showcasing the best of local produce. Lunch and dinner menus are available, alongside a carefully curated wine list. Whether you come for a quick midday meal or a leisurely evening, the focus remains on precise, flavourful modern cuisine.
Lamaccotte is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. It’s a place that feels both personal and professional—a true reflection of the chef’s journey and his commitment to making every guest feel at home.
