The story
Le Socle is the story of Dom and Mika, a couple of experienced restaurateurs who met in Paris and decided to change their lives. With roots in Prades (Dom) and family ties to Nice and Vence (Mika), they moved south after the birth of their daughter Leïla. Their goal: to share their own way of welcoming guests, built around good wine, quality ingredients, and a sense of humor. The result is a restaurant that feels personal, unpretentious, and genuinely warm.
The menu at Le Socle showcases modern cuisine with dishes that speak for themselves: ris de veau, baba au rhum, oeuf mollet et champignons, carpaccio de poisson et piment d'Espelette, pavlova aux fruits, and soufflé chocolat, among others. Each plate reflects a focus on fresh, well-sourced products, prepared without unnecessary fuss. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a touch of wit—Dom and Mika want everyone, including the staff, to have a good time.
Le Socle’s approach has not gone unnoticed. It earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a nod to its consistent quality and the genuine hospitality that defines the experience. In a city like Nice, where dining options abound, this recognition places Le Socle firmly on the map for those seeking modern cuisine in a setting that feels both refined and approachable.
