The story
Golden Phoenix occupies the ground floor of the Provocateur design hotel on Brandenburgische Straße in Berlin’s Charlottenburg district. The restaurant presents a singular pairing of Chinese and French cuisines, a concept that earned it a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026.
The dining room is currently taking a short pause. During this time, the Provocateur Bar remains open for cocktails and private events, offering a first-class bar culture for late-night drinks or dancing. The hotel itself invites guests to stay overnight, extending the experience beyond the table.
While the kitchen is temporarily closed, the restaurant’s recognition by Michelin underscores the quality of its Chinese-French cooking. The team, led by restaurant manager Anne Ehlert, has built a reputation for refined, cross-cultural dishes served in an atmosphere that blends hotel sophistication with an intimate, welcoming energy.
Outdoor seating is available when the restaurant is operational, allowing guests to enjoy the Charlottenburg streetscape. For now, the Golden Phoenix experience lives on through the adjacent bar and the promise of its return.
