The story
Since 1999, Hugos has held a Michelin star without interruption – a rare record that speaks to decades of consistent excellence. In 2025, the restaurant also earned three black toques from Gault & Millau. Perched on the 14th floor of the InterContinental Berlin, the dining room offers sweeping views across the city, making every meal a visual as well as a culinary event.
The kitchen is led by Johannes Gehrich, described by the restaurant as one of Germany’s most inventive chefs. His approach pairs exceptional craft with authentic flavours, resulting in modern cuisine that is innovative, sophisticated, and deeply satisfying. The menu changes with the seasons, and a dedicated vegetarian menu is always available.
Guests watch the sunset and the city light up as they dine. The wine list is carefully curated, and the restaurant offers a private dining room for special occasions. For a lighter indulgence, the Champagne and Canapés option lets you pair a glass of blanc or rosé with a selection of small bites. Hugos is open Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30 pm to midnight, welcoming guests who appreciate refined cooking in an elegant, unfussy setting.
