The story
At KINK Bar & Restaurant on Schönhauser Allee, the kitchen cooks with real fire. "It hisses, smokes, crackles, smells," the team says. The plates are accessible, playful, sometimes cheeky, but always with depth. Whether crisp-vegan or fire-tender-carnivore, the focus is on flavour. This modern cuisine in Berlin draws on international influences and a genuine love for the craft.
The bar takes a different approach. "No basics, no craziness," is the motto. Classics are rethought, with an emphasis on what lingers and what touches the guest. The space itself is a former ballroom with high ceilings and French windows, crowned by a glowing Space Knot installation by artist Kerim Seiler. It is a place with character, not a passing trend.
KINK is the work of Daniel and Oliver, two interior designers and creative obsessives who transformed an empty ballroom into a laboratory for hospitality. "A stage for ideas in perpetual loop," they call it. The restaurant also hosts weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11:00 to 15:00, where savoury meets sweet and mimosas flow.
The venue is flexible, accommodating up to 850 guests across two levels with an open kitchen. It works for private dinners, corporate events, product launches, or weddings. The team creates tailored menus and signature drinks. KINK's recognition as a Michelin Recommended restaurant in 2026 reflects the substance and consistency behind the playful exterior.
