The story

La Bohème Munich – Steakhouse with Flambéed Cuts & Michelin Recommended

Steakhouse with a Show

At La Bohème in Munich-Schwabing, dinner is a performance. This Michelin Recommended steakhouse at the Schwabinger Tor specializes in large steak cuts that are flambéed and carved tableside on a wooden board. The house focuses on a sharing-dinner concept, making it a fitting choice for a date night or a celebratory evening with friends.

The menu is built around high-quality beef. You will find cuts like Black Aberdeen Rib-Eye, Simmentaler filet, and Tomahawk steaks from Jack’s Creek Farm. For those seeking something truly special, there is a selection of premium Japanese Wagyu, including A5 Kobe and Miyazaki cuts, prepared sous-vide and finished with flame at the table. The steak sharing options, designed for three or more guests, allow you to sample several cuts in one sitting.

The Art of the Finish

What sets La Bohème apart is the final touch. The steaks are finished with two signature techniques: "Whiskey & Flames," where an overproof bourbon is poured over the meat and ignited, and "Smoking Herbs," where rosemary and thyme are torched to create a smoky crust. The effect is as aromatic as it is visual.

Beyond the steaks, the menu offers a full range of starters, from Beef Tatar and Dynamite Shrimp to a Burnt Aubergine. The wine list and cocktail program are crafted to complement the rich, savory flavors.

A Weekend Brunch Experience

On Saturdays and Sundays, La Bohème transforms for a Flying Brunch. Instead of a buffet, eight courses are brought directly to your table over three hours. The experience includes a beverage package with coffee, Crémant, wine, and fresh juices. Saturday brunch features electronic music and cocktails like the Bloody Mary, while Sunday brunch is accompanied by close-up magicians moving from table to table. The restaurant also offers a private dining room, the Séparée, which can be booked for events, private screenings, or tastings.
