The story
Tal 31, a short walk from Marienplatz, is home to Little London – a contemporary interpretation of the British steakhouse. The team describes their approach as "kreativ, britisch, leidenschaftlich," and the atmosphere is one of refined comfort, where guests can fully focus on excellent meat, wine, and drinks. This commitment to quality has earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommendation for 2026.
The kitchen, led by head chef Mladen Vollmer, is driven by a philosophy of honest, uncompromising craft. The heart of the operation is a Montague grill that fires at 928°C, giving the steaks a unique, intense aroma. The menu is built around prime cuts sourced from passionate farmers worldwide, with offerings ranging from a 250g Australian Black Aberdeen fillet to a massive 1200g US Prime Black Angus Porterhouse. For something rarer, there is a Bison filet from Manitoba, Canada, and a Wagyu Tataki featuring Japanese A5 roast beef. All weight specifications are given pre-grill, so you know exactly what you are getting.
Beyond the grill, the kitchen shows its range with dishes like the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff with truffled mashed potatoes, or a vegetarian risotto with beetroot, pumpkin cream, and goat's cheese. The wine list, curated by the team, is designed to find the perfect companion for every dish.
Little London is open Tuesday through Saturday, with the kitchen serving until 22:00. The restaurant offers a private dining room, the "Private Livingroom," for group reservations. While the bar operates on a first-come, first-served basis, dinner reservations ensure a dedicated table for a full evening of this distinctive, high-quality Grill cuisine.
