Landgasthof Adler in Rosenberg – Michelin-Recommended Farm-to-Table Dining

Landgasthof Adler: Modern Cuisine in a Traditional Setting

In the quiet Swabian town of Rosenberg, Chef Michael Vogel runs Landgasthof Adler, a traditional inn that has earned a Michelin recommendation for its refined, seasonal cooking. The restaurant’s ethos is rooted in the land: ingredients are sourced with care, and the kitchen lets them speak for themselves.

A Menu That Surprises

The heart of the experience is the "Überraschungsmenü" – a surprise menu ranging from three to seven courses. Guests can also order à la carte. Dishes change with the seasons, but recent offerings give a clear sense of the kitchen’s precision and creativity: a delicate gazpacho with piquillo peppers and tomato, zander fillet with red onion ceviche, or a perfectly cooked sole with leek and potato. The cooking is clean, focused, and deeply satisfying.

A Taste of Home

Beyond the dining room, Landgasthof Adler operates a small shop, “Lädle,” where guests can take home a piece of the Adler experience. The house-made muesli, available in three varieties (hafer, schoko, and früchte), and a line of small-batch spirits called Sturzflug – including a premium dry gin and a whiskey – reflect the same commitment to quality that defines the kitchen. It’s a place where the warmth of a country inn meets the ambition of a modern kitchen.
