The story

Feinschliff Sinzig: Michelin Recommended Modern European Cuisine

A home for special evenings

In the heart of Sinzig, Feinschliff brings a clear philosophy to the table: “We give special evenings a home.” The restaurant’s modern European cuisine is presented in a light-filled, elegant interior built around a central kitchen cube with live cooking. Natural materials – wood, glass, stone, leather – mix with metallic accents and earthy tones, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and welcoming.

Chef Paul Heuser and host Victoria Lölsberg

Küchenchef Paul Heuser spent four years as sous-chef at the Michelin-starred Yoso in Andernach, and earlier worked at Schloss Bensberg and the two-star Fährhaus on Sylt. His style is crossover, blending Asian and European flavours while reinterpreting traditional dishes with precision. At the front of house, Victoria Lölsberg ensures a relaxed, personal experience, guiding guests through the wine selection. Together, they shape Feinschliff’s character – a restaurant that has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction.

The Wine & Dine concept

The core offering is a set four-course Wine & Dine menu, changing regularly. All guests receive their courses simultaneously, sharing the evening’s aromas. A recent menu began with an amuse and bread, followed by Hiramasa with green apple and pistachio, then corn-fed chicken with tandoori and chickpea, lamb with polenta and onion, and an avocado dessert with mango and passion fruit. Each course is paired with carefully selected wines – from a Jülg Calcaire Blanc to a Barolo – or guests may choose from the wine list and non-alcoholic options. The evening starts at 18:30, and early reservation is required.

Lunch and beyond

Feinschliff also serves a weekday lunch menu with dishes such as veal in pepper cream sauce or stone bass with wild garlic risotto. For out-of-town guests, a nearby Airbnb apartment offers a place to stay, allowing them to enjoy the full wine pairing without worry. With its blend of fine dining, personal hospitality, and a setting that feels both modern and intimate, Feinschliff brings a distinctive modern cuisine experience to the historic town of Sinzig.
