The story
At The Lounge in Hong Kong, wine takes centre stage. Located on the Mezzanine Level of the New World Millennium Hotel, this inviting space has earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence for its remarkable collection and dedication to the craft of wine.
By day, the lounge is bathed in natural light from two-storey floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a calm oasis in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. Here, guests can enjoy a menu of Western and Asian light meals, homemade desserts, and afternoon tea sets, paired with a selection of over 35 house-brewed teas and coffees.
As evening falls, The Lounge transforms into a chic wine destination. The “Vin et Vin” area is anchored by a giant glass wine cabinet, featuring a spiral staircase that descends into a modern, well-equipped cellar. This cellar stores more than 1,000 labels of fine wines from both the old and new worlds, including classic vintages, rare pours, and boutique finds. The collection is meticulously curated by a team led by Director of Wine Sam Chong, and offered at exceptional value. To complement the experience, live jazz performances take place every Monday to Saturday from 7:30 p.m.
For those seeking a deeper exploration, the private cellar’s secrets are unlocked through a Master Wine List, with options for wine by the glass and free-flow packages. This is a destination where the European-inspired wine program is the star, offering an unparalleled journey for every enthusiast in Hong Kong.
