The story
Satricvm is the Cotilli family home, a restaurant in the small village of Le Ferriere, deep in the countryside of the Agro Pontino. Chef Max and Sonia place the region’s history and culinary habits at the centre of their work, emphasising the concept of prossimità — local proximity — in every dish.
The restaurant takes its name from the ancient Latin city of Satricum, once a thriving hub of trade and culture between the sea, the Lepini Mountains, and Rome. Today, that same spirit of exchange and connection to the land guides the kitchen’s approach to country cooking and modern cuisine.
The menu, listed as Menù Estate 2026, reflects the rhythms of the Agro Pontino. The restaurant’s own words describe how “the Agro Pontino, with its rich history and traditions, lies at the core of our culinary research.” This is not a generic farm-to-table promise but a specific, rooted exploration of what grows and is raised nearby, prepared with a modern sensibility.
The dining room is welcoming, with options for outdoor seating in the warmer months, and the space is fully accessible. Lunch and dinner service runs from Thursday through Monday, with a special Sunday all day dining event called Sunday Party.
Satricvm’s dedication to its vision has earned a place in the Michelin guide, where it is listed as Recommended. The award underscores what regulars already know: this is a restaurant where the Cotilli family’s research into local ingredients and traditions results in a meal that feels both deeply familiar and quietly inventive.
Whether you come for a weekday dinner or the Sunday afternoon feast, Satricvm offers a genuine taste of the Agro Pontino — its land, its history, and its future on the plate.
