The story
In the historic centre of Bardolino, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, Il Giardino delle Esperidi is a wine shop and restaurant run by three women: Susy, Mary, and Anna. Their shared idea is straightforward — to promote innovative dining with a personal style, offering an intriguing and delicious culinary experience.
The kitchen is strongly tied to seasonal products, transformed through curious, personal recipes. This focus on seasonal cooking, rooted in the flavours of the territory, is what gives the menu its character. The restaurant’s approach has earned it a place in the Michelin Guide, recognised for its quality and distinct identity.
The setting is a local, all-female-run space in the heart of town, where guests can enjoy both the restaurant and the enoteca (wine shop). The wine list is a clear point of pride, and the outdoor seating allows for relaxed meals overlooking the lakeside streets. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, matching the philosophy of the three women behind it.
Il Giardino delle Esperidi is open for lunch on weekends and public holidays, and for dinner every day except Tuesday. It offers table service, takeaway, and is wheelchair accessible. Whether you visit for a glass of wine from the shop or a full meal built around the best of the season, the experience here is personal, driven by a clear vision and a love for what they do.
