The story
Kitchen sits within the private park of the Sheraton Lake Como Hotel, a calm retreat on the road to Cernobbio. The dining room balances refinement with warmth, and as evening comes, lights play across the garden, creating an intimate atmosphere. An outdoor terrace extends the experience into fair weather.
Andrea Casali spent seven years alongside chef Franco Caffara, the only Michelin-starred chef in Como at the time, learning techniques rooted in seafood and southern Italian traditions. When he took his own path, his guiding principle became respect for raw ingredients. In 2021, that approach earned him his first Michelin star—a recognition the restaurant still holds.
The restaurant’s biodynamic garden, visible from the entrance, supplies aromatic herbs, flowers, and seasonal vegetables that appear in dishes shaped by both tradition and the chef’s daily inspiration. The cooking is Italian contemporary in spirit: precise, essential, and built on outstanding raw materials. Dishes like Parmigiano Reggiano 120-month-aged risotto with candied rose and bergamot orange, or spaghettone with dill custard, sea urchins and Avgotaraco, show a kitchen that combines technical skill with unexpected harmonies.
Beyond the chef, the brigade includes pastry chef Pietro, whose creations reinterpret classics with modern lightness, and sommelier Maria Chiara, who guides guests through a wine list that complements each tasting path. Restaurant manager Pierluigi leads service with a professional yet familiar touch. Tasting menus like “Evoluzione” and “Identità” offer a journey through the seasons, while a dedicated vegetarian menu, “Essenza Vegetale,” draws directly from the garden.
Kitchen is open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday, and for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available on request.
