The story
Moma opened its doors in 2010 in Rome’s historic centre, brought to life by the Pierini brothers, Gastone and Franco, who have shaped the Italian dining scene for over four decades. Their vision is grounded in collaboration with small Italian farmers, artisans, and breeders — a short, transparent, and ethical supply chain that defines every dish. The atmosphere is deliberately informal yet elegant and convivial, where stories of quality and attention to detail unfold at every table.
Born in 1989, Chef Andrea Pasqualucci trained under masters including Armando De Giorgi, Giuseppe Di Iorio, Oliver Glowig, and Moreno Cedroni before joining Moma in 2017. The following year he earned a Michelin star, which the restaurant has held ever since. His cuisine balances technical expertise with a deep respect for seasonality and territory, creating plates of great character that speak of tradition and modernity in equal measure.
Modern Cuisine at Moma is substantial and flavour-driven, centred on recognizable tastes and exceptional raw materials. The kitchen emphasises purity, balance, and harmony, letting local ingredients shine through refined techniques. For lunch, guests can choose à la carte or a four-course tasting menu with optional wine pairing. At dinner, two tasting menus — Momenti (six courses) and Cambiamenti (seven courses) — offer distinct journeys: the first through signature dishes, the second through the chef’s seasonal creativity. Each meal reflects a commitment to the guest’s well-being and the joy of sharing food.
