The story
In 2007, chef Enrico arrived in Corvara and began working at Rifugio Col Alt, run by Fabio and Karin. Together, they developed a new approach to high-altitude dining. By the end of 2017, they felt ready for a new challenge. On 8 December 2018, they opened L'Ostì in Corvara, a place that combines modern minimalism with the warmth of a mountain refuge.
The name L'Ostì comes from the Ladin word for "host" – a nod to hospitality, a pause for a good glass of wine, and a shelter for a memorable meal.
Enrico’s cooking is technical yet simple, built on classic bases but expressed through contemporary techniques and flavors. The result is dishes that feel both concrete and modern, yet straightforward to enjoy. The kitchen follows what the team calls "the new concept of Italian cuisine" – respectful of tradition but unafraid to evolve.
The wine list is a cornerstone of the experience. Fabio champions "Vini Di Vigna" – wines made from organic grapes, spontaneously fermented, with minimal intervention. These are expressive, respectful wines that pair naturally with the food. The restaurant’s philosophy is summed up in its tagline: easy food & raw wine.
Every detail is considered, from the artisan who handcrafts the plates to the selection of meat producers. Fabio’s service is attentive but informal, designed to match the spirit of the dishes.
L'Ostì’s thoughtful approach has earned it a Michelin Recommended designation, reflecting its place among the Dolomites' most compelling dining destinations. Whether for lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers a setting that feels both modern and deeply rooted in the mountain landscape.
At the foot of Sassongher, this is a place to slow down, eat well, and drink something memorable.
