The story
In the summer of 2021, brothers Andrea and Paolo Cortellazzo – born in 1995 and 1997, restaurateurs by blood – opened Come in Corte Aurora in the liberty-style Villa Lussana, deep in the Euganean Hills. Their goal: a welcoming place where they could express their essence. The result is a gourmet corner that earned a Michelin Recommended distinction.
The stove is run by Marco and Claudio Mandara, Roman-born chefs now at home in the Veneto. Their cooking philosophy blends creativity, heart, and instinct, backed by serious study. They challenge standardisation, drawing on experience in Italy and abroad. The cuisine is Italian Contemporary with a strong Venetian identity – seasonal, ingredient-driven, and tied to the family’s own farm.
The Cortellazzo family has been in hospitality for over two decades. In 2001, they opened Corte Aurora, an agriturismo on their agricultural estate in Cona, near Venice. The farm’s pride is a herd of Irish Aberdeen Angus cattle, whose beef still appears on the menus today. This connection to the land gives the cooking a tangible sense of place.
The restaurant sits inside Villa Lussana, a stately early 20th-century villa with seven guest rooms. The dining room and outdoor seating overlook the Euganean Hills, a protected area of volcanic peaks and vineyards. Guests can book a tasting menu (70€ per person) with optional wine pairings – either a Colli Euganei route (35€) or a free-hand selection (42€).
Come in Corte Aurora is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with lunch on weekends. It’s a place where family, farm, and culinary ambition meet – and where Michelin has taken notice.
