The story

Bosque FeVi – Mediterranean & Spanish Fine Dining in Esch-sur-Alzette

Setting and Concept

Bosque FeVi sits within the leafy Gaalgebierg Park in Esch-sur-Alzette, an unexpected setting for what the restaurant calls “culinary journeys to the heart of the Mediterranean.” The space is part of a larger FeVi concept that also includes a more casual street-food counterpart, but here the focus is on a composed, gastronomic experience. The restaurant describes its cuisine as “Mediterranean reinvented gastronomically with a Spanish twist: harmony and excellence in every preparation.” Open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, it welcomes guests into an atmosphere that feels both refined and unhurried.

The Culinary Experience

The kitchen offers several multi-course tasting menus, each built around seasonal products and precise technique. The Festival Tasting Menu (€109) moves through a series of carefully composed dishes: white asparagus served three ways with goat’s cheese, anchovies, and Pata Negra ham; a dome of roasted vegetables stuffed with romesco; confit ray wing with black olive butter and green apple; a Gillardeau oyster with bergamot foam; and guinea fowl with morels and green asparagus. Desserts like rhubarb with almond and coconut or a mascarpone tart with strawberry and basil close the meal.

A Tapas Tasting Menu (€89) offers a more playful approach, with smaller plates such as crispy potato tortilla ravioli, fideuá with pink prawn carpaccio, a savoury doughnut stuffed with spiced duck, and chorizo roasted in sherry. The Iberian Essence Menu (€125) spotlights premium ingredients: Cantabrian anchovies, Mediterranean red prawns grilled over hay, a Pata Negra ham croquette, and dry paella-style rice with Carabineros prawns. For those seeking a lighter option, the CoolDinner Menu (€80) and a vegetarian CoolVeggie Menu (€80) are also available, with the latter featuring asparagus with goat cheese, artichokes confit, and a vegetarian cordon bleu made with seitan and Comté.

Each menu is paired with Spanish wines, and the restaurant notes that its preparations are “exceptional creations crafted with passion.”

Recognition

Bosque FeVi earned a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026, a nod to the kitchen’s consistent execution and the clarity of its Mediterranean-Spanish identity. The setting, the careful sourcing, and the layered flavours all contribute to an experience that feels both grounded and ambitious. Whether you come for the full Festival menu or the more casual Tapas journey, the restaurant delivers on its promise of harmony and excellence.

This year, the tapas menu caught our eye, and did not disappoint, awakening the senses and bringing Catalan flavours to summer. From watermelon with fresh Manchego cheese and spicy Espelette pepper to the aubergine with parsley and nori seaweed or the escabèche razor clams, this is a food-lover’s paradise. The matured mackerel with apricot pickles and a refreshing dollop of paprika yoghurt is both original and deep-flavoured, as is the duck with sweet azuki beans and fragrant figs. The modern dining room is as pleasant as ever with its stylish monochrome tones, and the tranquillity of the location in the hills above the Iron City makes it an ideal retreat, lulling you into a Mediterranean fantasy. A pilgrimage that deserves to be made more often for the consistency and creativity of chef Fernando Andreu's cuisine!
