The story
Set within The Londoner Macao, The Mews invites guests to discover a world of authentic Thai cuisine behind a secret door. The restaurant’s name draws on the historical “mews” of London, where wealthy residents once stabled their horses. Inside, accents of Thai culture are on display, from colourful lanterns to beautiful Thai fabric. The space offers an element of surprise, leading diners into a refined yet welcoming setting.
The Mews is a Thai restaurant that takes its culinary cues from across Thailand. Tasting menus are crafted with authentic dishes, complemented by Thai-inspired cocktails. The kitchen is led by Senior Chef Nongnuch “Nuch” Sae-eiw, who brings over 20 years of experience from award-winning and Michelin-rated restaurants in Thailand. Her philosophy is uncompromising: every dish, whether a classic or her own creation, delivers a true taste of her homeland.
Featured dishes include The Mews Chicken Tom Kha Soup, The Mews King Crab Omelet, and Mango of Siam with Sticky Rice. Heartier plates range from Slow-cooked Boston Lobster with Green Chili Granita and Chayote to Charcoal Grilled Iberico Pork Shoulder with a coriander and garlic glaze, served with mushroom relish and a Thai-style dipping sauce. The Thai Style Wok-fried Boston Lobster with Spicy Tomato Sauce is another standout.
The restaurant’s wine program has earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2025, a two-glass honour. The Mews is also a Michelin Selected Restaurant in the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macao 2026, and has been recognised by Tatler Best Macau 2026 as one of the 20 best bars in Macau. Additional accolades include BAZAAR TASTE ELITE 10 Macao 2025 and China’s Wine List of the Year Awards 2025 (3 Glasses).
The Mews serves lunch and dinner, with bar snacks and beverages available into the late evening. The dress code is smart casual. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
