The name itself is a combination of the Malay words for “god” and “food,” reflecting a philosophy that elevates local ingredients to something extraordinary. The restaurant believes in keeping its Food & Drink Tasting Menus an experience that is approachable for everyone, showcasing the seasons in a succession of dishes over the evening. A vast majority of all chosen produce is grown, planted, and reared in Malaysia. The cuisine is a pure expression of Contemporary Malaysian cooking, with dishes like Goat Tartare, Slow Cooked Red Snapper with a broth made from Temu, and Kid Goat from Boden Farm with Petai-so, presented in a tasting menu format. Pairings, including a Non-Alcoholic and a Wine Pairing, are carefully crafted to complement the menu. The team encourages guests to come with an open mind and experience their alcoholic pairing.
