The story
Perched on the first floor of Menara Hap Seng 3 along Jalan P. Ramlee, Skillet is a modern European contemporary restaurant that earned Michelin Selected status for 2026. Part of The KARLS Group, the restaurant describes itself as “Refined & Redefined” — a phrase that captures both its kitchen-first philosophy and its polished, unpretentious atmosphere.
The Main Dining Room offers an immersive view of the open kitchen, set against the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Here, guests work through a Full Tasting Menu at dinner or a refined three- or four-course Lunch Menu, both built around seasonal ingredients. A dedicated wine program, curated by an in-house sommelier, accompanies each course.
For a more casual interlude, the Bar Lounge serves artisanal cocktails alongside an abbreviated menu of refined bar snacks. The space is designed for convivial drinks and small plates, offering a quieter alternative to the main room.
Private dining is available for bespoke gatherings of eight to twelve guests.
Skillet accommodates dietary requirements with 48 hours’ advance notice. The dress code is smart casual; children aged seven and above are welcome to experience the full tasting menu. A deposit of RM150 nett per guest is required for Main Dining reservations, credited toward the final bill.
