The name Terra, Latin for ‘earth,’ speaks to a deep reverence for ingredients. Chef YC works closely with local producers—such as Chocolate Concierge and Langit Collective—to source the region’s edible treasures. From highland vegetables to seafood from surrounding seas, these ingredients form the words of the story Terra Dining tells. The approach absorbs age-old culinary wisdom and runs it through a modern lens, producing what the team calls a “recombinant cuisine” that remains Malaysian in heart and soul.

Terra Dining offers a single tasting menu, the “Inert.ia”, paired with a dedicated wine list. The journey is curated to “rekindle deep moments in our collective memory,” expressing Chef YC’s love, frustration, and pride for his country’s food culture. Each course aims to make the familiar unfamiliar, casting classics in a new light and renewing curiosity in everyday flavours. This thoughtful, well-paced experience earned the restaurant a Michelin star in 2026, a recognition of its high-quality, inventive cooking.
