The story
Tucked within the Casa de Piedra winery in Valle de Guadalupe, Conchas de Piedra is a collaboration between the vineyard and the kitchen of Deckman’s. The concept is specific and compelling: shellfish from Baja California paired exclusively with the winery’s own sparkling wines. Every ingredient is strictly seasonal, responsibly sourced, and 100% from the region. The menu changes daily, dictated by what is fresh and available rather than a static list.
The focus here is on the combination of local seafood and estate-grown sparkling wines. Casa de Piedra produces three traditional-method bubblies—Blanc de Blancs (100% Sauvignon Blanc), Blanc de Noirs (a blend), and a Barbera Rosé—each aged 24 months on the lees. These wines are the only ones served, creating a tightly curated tasting journey centered on the marine ingredients of Baja California. The atmosphere is relaxed and outdoors, with a commitment to the surrounding landscape and sea.
In 2026, Conchas de Piedra earned a Michelin star, a reflection of the clarity of its vision and the quality of its seasonal, ingredient-driven Mexican seafood cuisine. It is a restaurant that knows exactly what it wants to do—and does it with precision and joy.
