The story
On the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven’s De Bergen district, Lucie Cocina Bar is a small, intimate space that brings the warmth of Spain to the Netherlands. Open from breakfast through late evening, this boutique bar serves Spanish contemporary cuisine built on pure ingredients, careful preparation, and a genuine love for the craft.
The kitchen works with heart and soul, sending out refined dishes designed for sharing. There are no ordinary tapas here; instead, expect delicacies from the sea, Ibérico hams, and plates that change with the seasons. The wine list is a carefully curated ode to small, sustainable family wineries across Spain, with organic and limited-production bottles selected during personal visits to the vineyards. Lucie’s own olive oil, sourced from Jaén, Córdoba, and Seville, is also available to take home.
The recognition from Michelin with a Bib Gourmand award underscores what Lucie Cocina does best: high-quality cooking at a fair price, with a focus on honest products and a memorable experience. The restaurant has also been noted in Gault&Millau for its attentive, unpretentious approach.
Seating is on high stools at the bar or at small tables — there are no low tables, and the charming building is not wheelchair accessible. Walk-ins are welcome, especially at the bar, where spontaneous encounters often turn strangers into friends. Reservations are recommended for groups, though the terrace cannot be reserved. Live music adds to the atmosphere on certain evenings, and the space is also available for private events.
Lucie Cocina Bar is a place to nourish yourself with good cheer, good wine, and the vibrant, unpolished spirit of Spain.
