The story
Bistro Pinot in Grou is a luxury bistro where hospitality and refined dishes meet. The restaurant’s philosophy is rooted in the power of simplicity on the plate – classic French bistro cooking translated for today. Every dish is pure and balanced, built around seasonal ingredients and crafted with traditional techniques. Comfort and elegance go hand in hand, creating a dining experience that feels both special and unforced.
The team draws inspiration from daily life, travel, and different cuisines, combining local Frisian produce with French and global flavours. The result is a menu that changes with the seasons, always driven by craftsmanship and creativity. The kitchen’s approach has earned Bistro Pinot a place in the prestigious Michelin Guide (Recommended 2026) and the Lekker500 – recognition that reflects a consistent commitment to quality and attention to detail.
There is no fixed à la carte. Instead, Bistro Pinot offers a Carte Blanche menu in three to six courses, letting the kitchen decide the best combinations of the day. Guests can choose from three to six courses, with optional wine pairings designed to complement each course. For those who want to go further, additions like foie gras, truffle, or a selection of artisan cheeses are available.
The dining room is relaxed and unhurried, with counter seating for those who enjoy watching the action, as well as table service for a more intimate evening. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating in warmer months and can accommodate private parties. Wheelchair access is available.
Bistro Pinot is open for dinner from Wednesday through Sunday. In a region better known for its lakes and countryside, it stands out as a destination for serious French cuisine. Whether for a quiet dinner for two, a celebration with friends, or a special occasion, the restaurant delivers a refined yet welcoming experience that keeps guests coming back.
