The story
Luca Adamo took over the former La Forca premises to establish a reliable Italian cooking house in Haarlem. His kitchen favours classical recipes executed with straightforward technique, a method that secured the Best Italian Restaurant award in the Netherlands for 2025. Every plate reflects that deliberate focus on proven methods and unadorned ingredients.
Guests typically begin with generous antipasti like the burrata served with basil oil and ripe tomatoes, or the simple tuna tartare paired with citrus notes. The Italian kitchen handles pasta courses with equal precision, particularly the spaghetti allo scoglio which arrives al dente beneath a rich coating of shellfish and cherry tomatoes. Desserts lean toward familiar comfort within this Italian cuisine framework, with a bright lemon semifreddo providing a clean finish.
White table linens, light Scandinavian seating, and a central hearth anchor the room in a quiet, welcoming rhythm. Luca often steps out from the pass to check on tables, ensuring guests feel personally attended to. A dedicated wine programme complements the meal, featuring an exclusively Italian cellar organised by colour and poured generously by the glass.
