The story
In the heart of Hoorn’s historic city centre, QuiDine has quickly established itself as a destination for modern French cuisine. Since opening in 2023, the restaurant has earned a prestigious Michelin recommendation, placing it among the region’s culinary standouts.
The restaurant is the domain of Patron Cuisinier Quirijn Bakker, a chef who developed his distinctive style in various luxury kitchens. His vision translates into edible art — each plate a reflection of his creativity. That same artistic impulse extends beyond the kitchen: Bakker’s own paintings hang on the walls, echoing the passion you’ll find on your plate.
QuiDine’s kitchen works exclusively with the freshest ingredients, favouring Dutch produce and cooking with the seasons. The team sources from suppliers with a conscious origin, bringing pure flavours to the table. This commitment to quality is matched by a sense of responsibility: the restaurant runs entirely on wind energy and uses forest-compensated natural gas.
Guests can choose from a carefully composed à la carte menu or the Chef’s Menu, available in 4 to 7 courses. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, a 3-course Chef’s Menu is offered at a accessible price point, ideal for an after-work dinner. The team also accommodates dietary needs when noted at booking.
The dining experience is rounded out by a thoughtfully selected wine list and pairings, designed to complement the seasonal, creative dishes. With warm service and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, QuiDine aims to make every evening memorable — whether for a weekday meal or a special occasion.
