The story
In the lively centre of Oirschot, La Fleurie brings together passion, refinement and flavour. For years, the restaurant has proudly held a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition that rewards exceptional food at a reasonable price. Here, the spirit of French cooking is alive, but not stuck in the past.
The kitchen works in a Modern French style, combining the rich tradition of French cuisine with a contemporary twist. Classic techniques meet fresh ingredients and modern influences, resulting in dishes that surprise without pretence. The menu changes with the seasons, offering a thoughtful selection from aperitifs to desserts.
Start perhaps with a classic oyster or a Pata Negra, then move to a warm starter like sliptong (lemon sole) with salmon, silver greens and beurre blanc, or a generous slice of foie gras with Brie de Meaux and Calvados. Main courses range from whole or filleted zeetong (Dover sole) with salad and remoulade, to runderhaas (beef fillet) with sweet potato and green asparagus in a maple-red port sauce. For dessert, the strawberry with sabayon and white chocolate, or a plate of Dutch cheeses with honey and nuts, makes a fine finish.
The wine list is equally considered. La Fleurie draws from its own authentic wine cellar in Oirschot, offering a balanced mix of classics and modern world wines designed to complement the food.
For private occasions, the Tuinkamer seats up to twenty guests and is available for both family dinners and business lunches. The atmosphere is stylish, the service refined.
La Fleurie is open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and for dinner from Wednesday through Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday lunch includes a three- or four-course menu with aperitif, wine and coffee.
