The story
At Restaurant Bij Erik in Leidschendam, the team puts personal attention at the centre of the experience. The restaurant has undergone a renovation, creating a cosy, updated atmosphere where guests can unwind. The menu has also been refreshed, offering a choice of starters, intermediate courses, mains, and desserts. Some classics have returned, while many new dishes have been introduced, all inspired by the season and modern gastronomy.
The kitchen works with modern French techniques and seasonal ingredients, resulting in a menu that changes regularly. Signature dishes remain, and diners can also opt for a chef’s tasting menu for a more extensive culinary journey. This focus on quality and value earned Bij Erik the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, held since November 2015. The award reflects the restaurant’s consistent ability to deliver good-quality cooking at a reasonable price – a promise that still holds today.
Bij Erik is also a destination for wine lovers. Since relocating, the team has expanded the wine list to include 350 different wines, 30 of which are available by the glass. Whether as an aperitif or alongside a full meal, the selection pairs well with the menu. The restaurant also offers a bites menu for those who prefer a more casual drink and snack experience.
