The story
At The Peninsula Manila, Old Manila has been a steadfast presence since 1976. It presents a contemporary expression of French cuisine, recognized by the MICHELIN Guide. The setting is an Art Deco dining room, where Chef de Cuisine Matthieu Fournier reinterprets French classics with precision and restraint.
The restaurant’s considered wine programme and sommelier-led pairings complete the experience. This approach has earned Old Manila the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2024. The Magsaysay Room, the private dining space named after the Philippines’ most beloved President, Ramon Magsaysay, offers an intimate setting for gatherings. A portrait of the President commands the room, a replica of the original that hangs in the reception hall of Malacañang Palace.
Old Manila offers a menu of French fine dining, with options including a Signature Menu, Ala Carte Menu, Executive Lunch Menu, and a Dessert Menu. A vegetarian Executive Lunch and a vegetarian Signature Menu are also available. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with a smart casual dress code.
