The story
Euskadi is the only restaurant in Poland dedicated to Basque cuisine. Recognized by the Michelin Guide as Recommended in 2026, it brings the cooking of the Basque Country to Kraków. The kitchen emphasizes pintxos and tapas-style dishes, built on seasonality and simplicity.
The menu offers both small pintxos and more substantial dishes, allowing guests to compose their own meal by choosing three or four plates. Options range from classic pintxos like piquillo peppers with goat cheese, salt cod buñuelos, and the Gilda (olive, anchovy, pepper), to cold selections of Iberian ham and chorizo. Tortillas, seafood such as grilled chipirón and soft-shell crab, and meat dishes like Iberian pork cheek or txistorra sausage in tomato sauce reflect the breadth of Basque cooking. Vegetables include padrón peppers, confit artichoke with romesco, and patatas bravas.
The dining room is air-conditioned and the service is attentive, creating a relaxed environment that suits both quick visits and longer meals. Euskadi’s formula – sharing plates, seasonal ingredients, and straightforward preparation – offers a true taste of Basque bar culture.
The Michelin Recommended distinction acknowledges the restaurant’s quality. For a taste of northern Spain in Kraków, Euskadi is a destination.
