The story

Cucina, Poznań – Mediterranean Restaurant with Michelin Recommendation

More Than a Restaurant

Cucina in Poznań describes itself as "more than a restaurant." It is a sensory experience where tradition meets modernity, encompassing a wine shop, a homarium, and its own pastry workshop. The team, driven by a passion for family-style hospitality, aims to make every guest feel comfortable and welcome. The restaurant's commitment to seasonality is evident: the menu changes with the seasons, using only fresh, seasonal produce. This philosophy, grounded in respect for nature, earned Cucina a recommendation from the Michelin guide, highlighting its quality and consistency.

The Kitchen and Its People

The heart of Cucina's Mediterranean cuisine is its wood-fired oven, which produces traditional Italian pizza. The culinary team is led by Executive Chef Bogumił Przybylak, whose career includes fine-dining experience in the UK and Ireland, where he learned the importance of flavor, seasonality, and regional identity under Chef Paul Flynn at The Tannery. He later earned a Michelin recommendation at The Time restaurant in Poznań. Sous Chef Mikołaj Szymański brings a passion for discovering new flavor combinations, inspired by the changing seasons and unexpected compositions. The restaurant's atmosphere is described as a place where guests can "see flavors, hear smells, and touch freshness," with a semi-open kitchen allowing diners to witness the culinary action.

A Sensory Journey

Cucina offers a multi-sensory dining experience, with a focus on creating memorable moments. The restaurant also serves breakfast à la carte at its Cucina Mamma e Papà location, offering a curated menu of seasonal dishes. Whether for a business meeting or a casual gathering, Cucina aims to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere where the food and the people create a lasting impression. The restaurant's dedication to zero-waste practices and sourcing from local suppliers further underscores its thoughtful approach to dining.
