The story
Since opening in August 2021 on Poznań's Wilda district, NOOKS has built a loyal following around a simple, compelling idea: surf & turf. The kitchen, led by chef-owner Adam and head chef Artem, combines seafood with meat, offering a menu that changes weekly with seasonal "dania spod lady" (dishes from under the counter). The cuisine is not tied to one tradition—it draws from global flavors, with several vegan options available.
The menu reflects this philosophy. Starters might include tuna tataki with wakame, yuzu mayo, and bacon crumb, or beef tenderloin tartare with porcini mushrooms and tarragon aioli. Main courses range from grilled octopus tentacle with chorizo and roasted pepper sauce to a surf & turf staple: beef candle steak with Black Tiger shrimp in herb butter. For a lighter option, there is a tuna steak with Asian mushroom risotto and truffle powder. The atmosphere is described by the owners as professional but without pretension—a place where guests feel well cared for and return often.
The wine list, curated by sommelier Nastka, is designed to pair with the menu, while bartender Alona creates original cocktails. The team, led by owners Marta and Adam, is the restaurant's greatest pride. Marta manages the front of house, Adam the kitchen, and together they have built a space that earned its first Michelin recommendation in 2023, with renewals in 2024 and 2025. The 2026 Michelin guide continues to recommend NOOKS, a testament to its consistent quality and warm hospitality.
