The story
Amar Beirut brings authentic Lebanese cuisine to Warsaw's historic Norblina Factory, opened in April 2023 by owners with over three decades of culinary experience. The name translates to "Moon of Beirut," a homage to cultural icons like Sabah and the Rahbany Brothers, defining a dedicated Lebanese kitchen. The menu focuses on light flavors, relying heavily on fresh vegetables and herbs rather than heavy sauces.
Diners encounter a spread defined by warmth and texture, starting with hot breads baked on-site like managheesh and cheese manoosheh. The table often fills with trays of beef kofta or grilled lamb, accompanied by tabbouleh and three distinct hummus varieties characteristic of Lebanese cooking. Traditional desserts anchor the meal, with kunafeh offering a creamy, cheesy finish that guests frequently highlight.
The dining room merges post-industrial architecture with lush greenery and colorful accents, creating a space that earned a Gold A' Design Award for interior design. Guests can retreat to a rooftop bar where award-winning bartenders craft signature cocktails infused with regional flavors. Live music accompanies the service, while the surrounding complex preserves industrial history through exhibits like a hydraulic accumulator for a 520-tonne press.
