The story
In the heart of Wrocław, chef Łukasz Budzik runs a kitchen that looks both backward and forward. His modern cuisine is rooted in the flavours of the Polish table — the cooking of grandmothers, the produce of the region — but he’s not interested in straightforward reproductions. The cooking here is ambitious, unhurried, and built on excellent ingredients. It’s also, the restaurant says, about pleasure, good fun, and the history of the city.
Budzik’s background is substantial. He has worked in three-Michelin-starred kitchens, at Arzak in San Sebastian and Guy Savoy in Paris. He was named Szef Jutra (Chef of Tomorrow) by the Gault&Millau guide, and recently won Kulinarne Grand Prix Wrocławia, judged by an international panel chaired by Maciej Dobrzyniecki. His experience running the kitchen at Prime in Qatar’s Intercontinental Hotel and at Mennicza Fusion in Wrocław shows in the confidence of his cooking. The Michelin inspectors have taken note, too, awarding the restaurant a Recommended distinction in 2026.
The main dining room is relaxed and welcoming, but deeper inside the restaurant lies the tasting room called Most. This is a bridge — between what Budzik learned at home in Poland and what he picked up travelling the world. Most serves a seasonal tasting menu that changes frequently and is designed to be playful with flavours and textures, breaking fine-dining conventions. The wine pairing is broad, with an adventurous non-alcoholic option as well.
Cocktails are a serious affair here. The list ranges from a citrus-forward Cytrus made with Gunpowder Irish Gin, yuzu and kaffir, to a Smoky Paloma with mezcal and Campari. Non-alcoholic versions of several drinks are available, along with classics like the Old Cuban and Tommy’s Margarita. Local beer from Browar Cztery Ściany in Trzebnica is also on offer.
It’s modern cooking done with respect — spare in form, full in taste. Między Mostami is a place that takes its food seriously without taking itself too seriously.
