The story
At the Vila Vita Parc resort in Armação de Pêra, Atlântico offers a dining experience that draws equally from the Portuguese coastline and the eastern Mediterranean. The restaurant’s motto — "As Águas do Atlântico abraçam Sabores do Levante" — captures a menu where olive oil, za'atar, tahini, citrus and fresh herbs take centre stage. Chef João Sousa crafts a “Good Mood Food” concept, designed to be shared and savoured in a spirit of positivity. This Mediterranean cuisine with modern touches is vibrant and refined, earning a Michelin recommendation.
The interior is elegant, with blue tones that seem to extend the ocean into the dining room. The terrace, one of the most sought-after spots, provides panoramic views over subtropical gardens and the resort’s infinity pool. The atmosphere is relaxed yet polished — what the restaurant calls “fun dining”, a vibrant and refined approach to Mediterranean cuisine. The dress code is resort chic, welcoming guests into a setting that balances sophistication with warmth.
Guests can explore the menu à la carte, as a sharing experience, or through a tasting menu carefully paired with selected wines. The cuisine is Mediterranean and organic, with a focus on fresh vegetables, seafood, citrus, grains and aromatic herbs. The Michelin guide recommends Atlântico, recognising its creative and high-quality cooking. Each dish is prepared to surprise and inspire, linking the Atlantic coast to the kitchens of the eastern Mediterranean.
Breakfast is also served here, offering a wellness-oriented concept with a buffet or à la carte options. Gluten-free, lactose-free and superfood choices are available, catering to adults and children above 12. It’s one of two breakfast venues in the resort, ideal for those seeking a healthy beginning to the day.
Atlântico is open for dinner from Saturday to Wednesday, and for breakfast daily. Reservation is required.
