The story
On Rua das Traineiras, the street that runs alongside Nazaré’s fishing harbour, Taberna d’Adélia brings the town’s seafaring heritage to the table. The restaurant describes itself as “Alma nazarena servida à mesa” — the soul of Nazaré served at the table — and the kitchen focuses on the traditional dishes of local fishermen and fishwives, presented with care in a family setting.
The restaurant is a well-preserved family business, and that sense of continuity and warmth is central to the experience. The menu is built around what the sea provides: fish, shellfish, and petiscos (small plates), alongside meat options. The atmosphere is described as familiar and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.
Taberna d’Adélia earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a recognition that aligns with its reputation among customers and critics as a reference point in Nazaré’s dining scene. The wine list is noteworthy, and the restaurant also operates an online shop, Garrafeira, where guests can purchase selected wines.
Open for lunch (12:30–15:30) and dinner (19:00–22:30), closed on Thursdays.
