Flora, a small independent restaurant on Rua Grão Vasco in Viseu, embodies a philosophy built on sustainability and respect for nature. The kitchen team works in close collaboration with local producers, letting the quality of the product and what is available in the surrounding region dictate each dish.

The menu changes with the rhythm of the seasons and is presented as a tasting experience. Guests can choose from three journeys: five moments, seven moments, or nine moments, priced at €45, €65, and €80 per person respectively. This structure allows for a focused, ingredient-led exploration of modern Portuguese cuisine without rigidity.

The recognition from the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand award underscores the restaurant’s commitment to good quality, good value cooking. It is a testament to the careful sourcing and thoughtful technique that define the food here.

The atmosphere is informal and relaxed. The wine list mirrors the kitchen’s ethos: a curated selection of low-intervention, biodynamic, and organic wines from Portugal and abroad, alongside artisanal beers, ciders, and soft drinks.
