The story
Benoit Riyadh opened on 23 April 2025 in the King Abdullah Financial District, becoming the latest outpost of a legendary Parisian bistro. Founded in 1912 by butcher Benoit Matray, the original Benoit stood for three generations as one of the last authentic Parisian bistros, known for its convivial atmosphere and classic French cooking. In 2005, the restaurant was acquired by Maison Ducasse, the group led by chef Alain Ducasse, and has since expanded to New York, Tokyo, and Kyoto. Now, Riyadh joins that lineage.
The menu at Benoit Riyadh, developed by Alain Ducasse in collaboration with the Executive Chef, showcases the full bistro repertoire with a contemporary twist. The cooking is warm-hearted and generous, offering traditional appetizers, classic dishes, and irresistible Parisian pastries. It is French cuisine at its most approachable—rooted in the bistros of Paris but with unexpected takes on familiar flavors.
Benoit Riyadh has already earned a place in the Michelin guide, receiving a Recommended distinction in 2026. The restaurant mirrors the convivial spirit of the original, with indoor and outdoor seating. A café is open daily from noon to midnight, while formal dining service runs for lunch and dinner. Private dining options are also available. Whether you seek a taste of Parisian tradition or a contemporary French meal, Benoit Riyadh delivers an experience that is both timeless and of the moment.
